The Weber Puck Saver is a precision-engineered stainless steel disc placed directly above the espresso puck. Its purpose is to protect the coffee bed from erosion caused by high-velocity water flow, helping to minimize channeling and improve extraction consistency. By acting as a sacrificial layer, the Puck Saver also keeps the machine’s dispersion screen cleaner, reducing the need for frequent deep cleaning.

At just 0.19 mm thick, it preserves headspace within the portafilter while maintaining uniform water distribution across the puck. The 200-micron hole design ensures smooth flow without disturbing tamped grounds. Easy to clean and reusable, it offers both workflow efficiency and cup quality benefits.
