7 Chakras In Brief
The Sanskrit word chakra means “wheel” or “vortex” and refers to subtle energy centers that power our beings. There are 114 chakras in the human system. Six of them are primary, and positioned along the spine. These six correspond to planes of consciousness, (i.e. major archetypes of human thought, emotion, and behavior). The seventh center referred to as a chakra is fundamentally different from the others, and can best be understood as a portal.
