Sohail Karmani is a professor at New York University in Abu Dhabi, where he currently teaches Power and Ethics in Photography. But he is also a passionate photographer who over time has elaborated his own storytelling language around people, travels, street life and documentary photography. Born into a family from Pakistan, in 2010 he visited for the first time Sahiwal, the city of his father, in the east-central district of Punjab, better known as the site of the Ancient Civilisation of the Indus Valley (or Harappa civilisation) and dating to the third millennium BC. Overwhelmed by the colours, vibrations and stories hidden in each corner, he created a photo album that aims to pay tribute to the beauty, humanity, dignity and extraordinary spirit of resilience of these people. Avoiding all clichés painfully attached to an idea of the East consisting in the lost and the forgotten or capitalising on the suffering of people, this publication offers an up-close, and in many cases intimate, look at Sahiwali society. Fragments of daily life in which faces intermingle with rituals, rites and ceremonies of a land whose natural human condition is still in part intact. The vibrant and contrasting colours and intense light blend with florid and genuine humanity, crystalized in images that are highly engaging for viewers.

The best sandals for all summer long

A really good quality sandals for my daughter who plays and move around a lot. She wore this for more than 2 years basically it was my go to sandals for her: she never complained and that she love them and are comfortable. It goes with any style you can think of. Very stylish. The size was perfect.

Cute, sturdy, versatile

I bought several pairs of these to get the right sizes lol. I originally purchased for my 9 year old xoxo for a vacation but I got a too big, my 13 year old grabbed them tried them on and LOVED them. So, I ordered three more pair, found the right size for my 9 year old and sent the other two back. These are cute, versatile, sturdy, and GREAT price. I live that they buckle, are closed toes, but airy. Can dress up or down.

Nice sandals, but run a little big

I got these for my oldest daughter, I tend to order a little big so my kids can wear them a little longer. These are a little bigger than expected, however. Not a big deal for us since she has other shoes to wear at this point....BUT I don't think most people would be happy if they not be able to use the product immediately.
At any rate, these appear to be very well made. The cushion resembles adult style padding as it's pretty firm. The velcro strap works well and is a good choice for kids.
Lastly, these were $25 at the time of testing which is on the high side for kids sandals. These are made of faux or PU leather, so a little surprising. I would expect that price to come down a little to be competitive. Overall though, pretty decent sandals that run a little large.
