When to Replace
- HVAC fan only operates on the highest speed setting.
- Fan speed is uncontrollable or stuck on one speed.
- No air blows from the vents at any fan speed.
- Visible burn marks, corrosion, or melting on the original resistor or its electrical connector.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the vehicle's battery before beginning installation.
- The resistor is typically located in the HVAC ductwork behind the glove box or on the passenger side of the lower dashboard.
