Maton ECJ85 Rock Maple Jumbo

A guitar that will cover all of your bases the Maton ECJ85 was born from the blending of traditional materials with exquisite craftsmanship. This custom jumbo represents a total, no compromise approach. Flawless attention to detail guarantees your Maton will be an instrument of pride and pleasure for many years to come.

With a bit different combination of Sitka Spruce and Rock maple, this guitar performs and sounds absolutley wonderful. Clear high range tones with very supportive low and mid range tones with balance across the board.

The tone of the Rock Maple back and sides is heavy and bright with plenty of articulation and low end for a maple guitar. Pairing this with the Sitka Spruce top ensures this guitar will shine in any setting or jam!

the AP5 Using the ‘Sweepable Mid’ controls. Midrange is sweepable from 1 to 2khz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule for the system should start out ‘flat’ then be altered to achieve the tone desires.

For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your mids by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh

This instrument is in Good Condition with heavy surface scratches all over as well as some pick scratches on the pickguard and some belt wear on the back. There are also two dings on the headstock. We have attempted to capture this in the detailed photos posted below.

Durable
Theme: Football, Size: Large
I have a German Shepherd and a pit mix and they played tug-of-war with this. I’ve had it for about six months and it’s still holding up.

Not for heavy chewers!
Theme: Animals, Size: Medium
Didn't hold up well - but realized I didn't read that it was for "light chewers." Otherwise, cute design.

Good for Chewers
Theme: Football, Size: Large
Dogs love it, they been chewing on it and it's like new. Also I put treats inside and they really like that. I have a small pit mix and a puppy shepherd husky mutt. They play tug of war with it and it's holding up really good.

Great inside toy
Theme: Football, Size: Large
Our Rottie loves these! I wanted something like the Jolly Ball but that is soft for inside the house. She's had a lot of fun with this, picking it up, tossing it, playing soccer, etc.

A BIG hit with my BIG dog!
Theme: Football, Size: Large
My Great Dane/Boxer mix LOVES this toy. She is over 100 lbs and very strong. She got a hold of my son's real football last year and after she made the initial holes and deflated it we just let her have it. She completely ripped it to shreds in about 7 months but had such a blast tossing it around and galloping around the yard with it, I knew I had to replace it with something of the same shape but hopefully more durable. This is it! She really adores this. We play catch and tug with it and it seems like it's going to last a really long time. The rubber is flexible but strong. I'll try to get a picture of her with it and load it. I highly recommend this toy. We ordered the Large size, by the way. :-) 2-6-2015 - Update: I am just now ordering a new one. For nearly 4 years, the old one has been kept outside in the rain, sun, snow, and ice. She still loves to grab it, shake it, throw it up in the air and play tug with whenever she's outside. The rubber is just now starting to crack so it's time for a new one.
