These South Dakota Goldback foil notes contain 1/1000 oz .999 fine Gold which is the first local, voluntary currency to be made of a spendable, beautiful piece of artwork that contains physical Gold. Goldbacks are also a great way to invest in small increments of pure gold to add to your investment portfolio.
The Goldback project truly began in spirit with the passage of the Utah Legal Tender Act in 2011 which recognized certain types of Gold as currency within the state. Since that time the technology to mint Gold into a spendable form for small transactions has become a reality.
Currency Highlights:
- Contains 5 X 1/1000 oz (0.001 oz) of .999 fine Gold.
- Individual notes come in protective plastic.
- Face: Obverse: The obverse is an homage to the virtue of Peace. Pax (Latin word for peace) is allegorically represented as a young Native American woman of the Lakota Nation. The woman performs a hoop dance while wearing ceremonial regalia that is traditionally handmade and embroidered with symbols representing the wearer's name, tribe, heritage, family legends, and personal achievements. A banner below bears the inscription "ALLIANCE OF FRIENDS," which is the modernized evolution of "The Friendly Ones," the meaning of the word "Lakota" in the native language. The Lakota woman is accompanied by an American bison and a bald eagle, the national animal and bird of the United States, along with a coyote and an American pasque blossom, the official South Dakota state animal and flower. The scene is captioned "SEEK PEACE" below. The powerful image is accompanied by additional inscriptions that include "2023," "SOUTH DAKOTA GOLDBACK," "SPECIE LEGAL TENDER INSTRUMENT," "1/1000 TROY OUNCE 24K GOLD" and "ONE."
- Back: Displays a reversed image of the front illustration, serving as a sophisticated security feature.
- Back: Blank.
- Not legal tender.
- Made in the United States.

Great shelves
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4, Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
These are cute and easy to install. They were the perfect size for the location. I did use other drywall mounts to make sure they were more likely to stay in but after I installed they feel sturdy and reliable.

Different mounting mechanism than photos
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4, Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
I'm going to start off this review by stating that the mounting mechanism used on the Shelf is different than the one shown in the photo. In the photo, it shows a single bar which would have made the Shelf easier to level however, the product I received has two separate bars which means I have to be extra careful holding a level against the paper. Stencil. The reason I chose this product over different listings was because for a dollar or two more its photo showed a single bar.
Now for the pros and cons:
Pros:
Accurate measurement.
Shelf appears to be actual wood! The photos made it looks like a veneer, which it is not.
Easy to install.
Includes good instructions.
Seems like it can hold items fairly well.
Cons:
The mounting hardware for drywall pretty flimsy, and I stripped out some of the drywall anchors during install. They still worked, but it was annoying to finish inserting them.
The shelf doesn't sit fully flush to the wall from factory as the screws included make it protrude slightly. I can fix this with my dremel, However, This could have been solved from the factory by making the cavity slightly deeper.
As mentioned above in my main detractor, it is a two bar mounting system rather than a one bar, which was shown in the photo.

Pleased overall
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
They have an unfinished feel, and the underside screws used to hold the shelf on the poles strip out really easy. Tighten those by hand and with care. Other than that, they look great and were easy to install. Came with a full set of hardware including anchors for various wall types. Stable enough to hold small to medium sized Lego sets (don't try to put Lego Hogwarts size kits on them--not big enough). Bought 3 sets of 4 and used others as Book shelves. They work very well for novel size or paperback sized books. Just make sure you anchor them well into the wall. These will only be as good as the installation.

Nice and Inexpensive!
Color: Light Brown, Size: 4, Color: Light Brown, Size: 4
Thé shelves are good quality and easy to hang. Thé instructions do leave a bit to be desired as they misidentify which anchor to use for dry wall. I followed instructions for the first shelf and it was not very stable. I switched to the other anchors and it was great. All hardware in included. These require minimum size holes in your wall, but it is a floating shelf so be prepared to patch when you take them down. It’s a set of 4 so a good value!
