Beau Pets Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness
The Gentle Leader Harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling while walking on a lead. It's so simple - easy to fit, and easy to use. There is very little acclimation time or special technique required.
Unlike traditional collars, The Gentle Leader Harness never causes coughing, gagging or choking because the chest strap rests low across the breastbone, not on the delicate tracheal area.
Traditional harnesses actually encourage dogs to pull harder because of the "opposition reflex". That's the reflex that causes sled dogs to pull against pressure and do what they do. The Gentle Leader Harness' unique front-chest lead attachment stops pulling by steering your dog to the side and redirecting his attention towards you. Its martingale loop provides extra leverage for easy, relaxed control and prevents harness twisting and gaping.
Key Benefits:
- Stops your dog pulling
- Quick snap buckle on both the shoulder and belly straps to make it easier to get the harness on and off your dog.
- Soft but strong nylon and 4 adjustment points provide maximum comfort and reliable fit
Size Guide:
| Size | Girth Measurement* | Breed Guide |
| Petite | 35 - 45cm | Chihuahua, Maltese, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Pomeranian |
| Small | 38 -51cm | Jack Russell, Pug, Miniature Schnauzer, West Highland Terrier, Italian Greyhound |
| Medium | 51 - 71cm | Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Corgi, Japanese Spitz, French Bulldog |
| Large | 66 - 91cm | Standard Poodle, Boxer, Labrador, German Shepherd, Husky |
| Extra Large | 86 - 117cm | Newfoundland, Bernese Mountain Dog, Mastiff |
*Girth should be measured snugly around your dog's rib cage, just behind the front legs.
For best fit measure the girth of the dog. This is the area behind the front legs and around the body. The neck and/or weight measurements will typically fall into place once girth is determined. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.
