Zerek Flat Shad Pro 3.5in - 10g

Made from ultra-tough and environmentally friendly TPE material, the Flat Shad's patented materials allow the plastic to stretch an incredible 10x its original length before even looking like breaking. This makes for an incredibly tough body that can be used again and again whether you're chasing fish in tough country or you're simply chasing tough fish with nasty fangs!

The real beauty and development in this lure is seen in the design. The Flat Shad sports a hollow belly and two slits on either side of the body that allow the lure to compress horizontally and vertically meaning that the weedless hook is easily exposed when a fish strikes.

Coming pre-rigged on a weighted, chemically sharpened Mustad worm hook, the Flat Shad's body simply crushes down under any pressure when rigged this way, exposing the extra strong worm hook. It really is the best of both worlds: Highly snag resistant and exceptional hook setting ability all built into one lure.

On the fall the Flat Shad rolls and shimmies and comes to a rest on the bottom with a tail up attitude. In any current at all the tail continues to pulsate and additionally with the slightest of movements by the angler the tail kicks into action immediately. And fish will pick this lure up off the bottom if given the chance.

If you are not fishing in the rough stuff and you want to have a hook exposed at all times, then simply rig the Flat Shad with a conventional jighead. The lure accepts all manner of jigheads and rigged this way the action of the lure is not diminished meaning you can chase barramundi in the lakes, target threadfin salmon, roll the lure past some angry Murray cod and even target large lake trout that have moved on from eating small insects to eating small trout and other fish. The options are endless.

With a body roll that is complemented by a thumping tail action, the Flat Shad will appeal to a huge number of fish. Add in the ability to load up the internals with as much scent as you want and the Flat Shad is beginning to look like a lure that will quickly gain popularity and earn its place in tackle trays country wide.

Works well
Hasn’t broken unlike our Walmart one that broke on the first use. Very easy to use and not as confusing to use for someone who doesn’t open many cans.

Amazing product that works
Amazing. I had to get used to pressing the steel bar down and turning the crank to pierce the can. It was a little effort to turn the crank, but the end result was worth it. The top of cans came clearly off with no Jagged edges on either the top or the sides. The top can be put back on or discarded.

Sneaky little devil has a mind of it's own...
Warning: This can opener has a mind of its own and may run away from you. Mine disappeared from my kitchen a few days after I bought it. One night it was sitting on the counter, the next morning it was just gone. After 3 weeks hoping it would turn up, I finally gave up and bought a slightly different style (the Joseph Joseph compact handleless style can opener) so that I'll have two choices in case it does ever reappear. At least I only paid $7. I'm all seriousness, I only used this for a week, but it seemed like a nice no-frills can opener that was definitely worh the very lowe price I paid for it. This was my first time buying a can opener of this style (single handle which cuts on the outside of the can's rim), but it was easy and intuitive for me to figure out how to use it. Just remember, when the lid gets stuck to the can opener, twist the handle in the opposite direction and it'll come right off. This is actually a nice intentional feature, but it can be frustrating at first if you aren't used to it. This style of can opener has some tradeoffs with the traditional two-handled opener. Cutting the outside rim of the can leads to a smoother edge on the can and lid, but can also lead to some of the liquid inside the can spilling out. Personally, I think that that's a worthy tradeoff for lower risk of cutting myself and bleeding all over my food, but neither option is perfect so think about which potential frustration you'd rather avoid before you buy, because as far as I know there is no can opener that perfectly solves both problems.
