The Blackwall FluoroDish™ is available in three different sizes.  Available in 35mm dish with either a 23mm well (FD35B) or 10mm well (FD3510B) and a 50mm dish.

Fluorescence involves the emission of light after molecules become excited by ultraviolet or visible light. Fluorescence cell imaging relies on illumination of fluorescently labelled proteins or other intracellular molecules with a defined wavelength of light. Unwanted stray lights from the environment will also excite proteins and intracellular molecules. As a result, the lights are emitted from excited molecules with different wavelengths known as background noise. To have better quality of image (or higher signal-to-noise ratio), we need to reduce stray lights introduced from the environment. Blackwall dishes can significantly block stray lights and reduce background noise.
