HD Control Panel:
- Encased in an aluminum billet machined housing, powder coated black, utilizing tactile switches encapsulated in silicone.
- Silicone Buttons with positive touch feedback.
- Panel is designed to withstand the harshest environments with all weather conditions considered.
- Compact in size: 2-7/8W x 4-7/8L x 1/2 Thick (smaller than an iPhone).
- Universal back with two pressed-in 1/4-20 studs x 5/8 inches long for flat mounting.
- Standard universal articulating mount for a multitude of mounting options.
- One standard RJ45 jack on back for communication cable between HD panel and the BantamX. (HD comes with a 10 foot CAT-6 Ethernet cable)
- HD can be located up to 25 feet from the Source using standard CAT-6 Ethernet cable.
- Built in Bluetooth LE allows you to program and control our system with iPhones, iPad, iPad Mini using the free sPOD app.
- Three levels of secured or open Bluetooth pairing/connectivity.
- Each switch programmable for dimming, flash, momentary, strobe, and switch linking (program any switch to be a master to control other switches).
- All 8 switches are backlit.
- Adjustable timer to turn backlight off and a simple touch on any switch to reactivate.
- Quickly turn backlight off by holding 2 designated buttons.
- RGB backlight color and intensity can be changed to any color to match vehicle interior dash lighting.
- Panel lock-out feature for safety and security.
- Legends can be applied (comes standard with one sheet of 72 legends).
- Each switch has 3 status lights: Red (left) = On, White (center) = Flash/Strobe active, Blue (right) = Active visual feedback when button is pushed.
- Status lights can be dimmed.
- Additional HD smart controller can be added for different locations.
- HD can run in conjunction with our Touchscreen, Bluetooth and 8 Switch panel.
Bluetooth Requirements:
- Access to iTunes or Google Play Store to download the sPOD app

- Must have existing sPOD system
Notes:
- The primary reason for the Bluetooth integrated into the HD panel is for programming purposes, and not for remote control due to the limited range.
- HD housings are precision machined billet aluminum which contribute to the distance limitations.
- Ranges may vary from 5 feet up to 15 feet depending on location of the HD, the surroundings, phone type, phone cover and many other variables.

Very well written, great coping ideas for toddlers!

A little backstory - my son hits. It’s not like aggressive but he is 19 months and tends to use his hands when he is frustrated.
That being said I am genuinely impressed with this book. It seems long but it’s not. It’s a good length but my toddler was able to sit through the whole thing. It has plenty of pictures for each coping skill, making it one skill per page.
My son seemed to really be paying attention and absorbing the book. The author did well putting things in simpler terms while also continuing to repeat why hitting is bad. The author describes many different ways why hitting hurts, makes people sad, hurts them physically and mentally.
It’s all inclusive, different kids that all look different. That was a bonus for me. I love books who acknowledge us all. It teaches our children to do the same.
Pages are sturdy, they are paper not that waxy laminated material. But they’re thick and the book is structured well.
Books are such an important part of children’s development and vocabulary. My son has learned a whole new vocabulary. This book has helped him put faces, pictures to his feelings. It has made those feelings real and seen.

Decent book with good techniques for kids
Format: Paperback
Cute book that my two and a half year old will reach for every now and then. She'll try mimicking what they're doing, like clenching her fists and blowing bubbles, while she reads it. However, she doesn't really use the techniques when she is mad and just telling her "we don't hit when we're mad" and "we don't hit our friends/mama/daddy/etc" has been more effective. But maybe when she's older this will help if she starts hitting again.

Perfect aged book
Format: Paperback
I truly liked this book for our son when he was 3 years old. It was done very simple and to the point. It allowed you as a parent to add on if you wanted and to talk about the pages. This was a very helpful book in our house.

Engaging & Effective for toddlers w/Autism!

My almost 3 year old was recently diagnosed with Autism. He struggles with transitions and also has a speech delay, which often contributes to big meltdowns when he doesn’t get his way. He’s been a “hitter” since about 18M… and it’s so hard! I know he has big emotions and can’t regulate them easily. This book is FANTASTIC! It’s easy to read and has cute and relatable illustrations.
It can be a little repetitive, but that’s what helps get the point across. Let’s face it, my son is also very repetitive, so it seems to resonate with him. It talks about different feelings and emotions, how it’s ok to feel that way, and how to handle them without hitting. For example, you can use your words to ask a grownup for help; you can draw an angry picture; you can squeeze your hands into a ball and release them, etc. There’s different options for different scenarios, and each one is described in a way that toddlers can figure out how to do it themselves. His favorite is to squeeze his hands into a fist, or give his body a big “squeeze hug.” I’ve already caught him doing that a few times instead of slapping me!
It’ll take practice (like the book mentions) but I think he’ll be able to self-regulate better with some of these ideas!! I also have some new phrases to use and picked up some sign language. I love the tips for caregivers in the back!
If you have a hitter (especially one on the spectrum), you need this! I actually like it better than our other book, Hands Are Not for Hitting. Similar story line, but this one is more detailed and better suited for older toddlers. I highly recommend it!!
