What distinguishes this cleanser from standard acne cleansers is the 'micro peeling' function: the combination of 2% salicylic acid and 0.05% LHA (lipohydroxy acid) provides gentle but genuinely effective chemical exfoliation within the cleansing step itself, dissolving the dead skin cell and sebum buildup inside pores that leads to blackheads, blemishes, and uneven texture without requiring a separate exfoliating treatment. Salicylic acid at 2% is the highest concentration available in an OTC cleanser — oil-soluble and keratolytic, it penetrates directly into the pore lining to dissolve congestion at its source.
