Lighten Up (Fat Wreck Chords) the SoCal punk group Bad Cop Bad Cop's fourth full-length, paints a striking portrait of life's hard-won victories and hard-fought losses. Recorded at the Compound in Long Beach, home to veteran producer Antoine Arvizu (Sublime, Ryan Bingham).

The band loved recording the singles "Shattered" and "Safe and Legal" there in 2023 with Arvizu and Migs (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Long Beach Dub Allstars. Bad Cop Bad Cop stretched their signature hooky, melodic punk into unexpected places, like the jazzy "Las Ventanas," the dub-inflected "Note to Self," or "Johnny Appleseed," a reimagining of the Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros classic.

After tracking the instruments, the band spent 10 intense 12-hour days recording vocals with longtime collaborator John E. Carey Jr. (Old Man Markley, NOFX, Get Dead). "The singing was the most important part for us. We really tried things out," Dee says, adding that Gallarza stepped up to sing third harmony for the first time. Lighten Up also benefits from Windsor, an expert guitarist who not only shreds (check out the end of "I4NI") but whose music theory knowledge proved invaluable.

"Alex's guitar playing is just so fantastic and has really elevated our songwriting, truly," Dee says. Everything about Lighten Up feels elevated and genuine. "This was the first time we didn't give a fuck about what anyone else was doing or wanted us to do. Lighten Up was for us" Dee says. "We had a complete and total ball making it and we love it so much." vinyl color: black

You need these if you have dry mouth
Flavor Name: Slightly Sweet, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
I have a real problem with dty mouth due to medications I take. These last at least an hour. They stick well to you gum and they keep your mouth moist, better than any other products for dry mouth. You can even use them when you go to sleep. I use 2 at a time, 1 on each side. Sometimes I just use one. I recommend if you are bothered by dry mouth. They are sugar free.

Dry Mouth...BE GONE!!
Flavor Name: Slightly Sweet, Size: 100 Count (Pack of 1)
These are a fabulous product! I have been using them for years. As a CPAP patient, dry mouth during the night is a big issue. Xylimelts solves this completely. Each tablet has a concave side. After you moisten them in your mouth you stick the concave side onto your gums below your teeth, or inside of your cheek. There they stay firmly in place and slowly melt, keeping your mouth perfectly moist all night. My magic bullet is one on each side of my lower jaw and one stuck to the roof of my mouth. They last all night. Xylimelts come in several flavors. Slightly sweet is my favorite, because the mint is a little too strong for me. I cannot live without this product! My daughter does not have a CPAP machine but suffers with sinus congestion. She uses these every night to combat dry mouth associated with mouth breathing during sleep. PRO TIP: once you have them firmly in place, do not try to move them. They are solidly glued down and you can cause irritation by prying them up.

Xylimelts work! Don't leave home without them!
I love the mint free version of Xylimelts. The mint flavored ones are also good but I'm not a fan of mint. As far as working to alleviate dry mouth, they work. I'm able to use 1 Xylimelt per night and get about 6 hours of comfort. That is sufficient for my needs. The instructions say that you can use 2 Xylimelts at a time, if you need them. Properly moistened before holding in place on your gum, they will adhere tightly. There are certain products that make my life better and Xylimelts are one of them. While not mentioned in the literature, my experience is that using these over the last two years, I've experienced zero cavities. For me, this makes sense as the Xylimelts help prevent bacteria from adhering. Since dry mouth also encourages cavities, using them regularly give you a leg up at preventing cavities while keeping you comfortable all night. I've never used them in the daytime but they are unobtrusive and were certainly help with chronic dry mouth. Definitely works for me.

Sleep-aid
I've used Oracoat XliMelts for years at night time. I usually only need one for overnight. Keeps my throat dry so I don't keep waking up with a dry mouth.
