About Bhil painting: The Bhils are the second largest tribal community in India and are found in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Some Bhils trace their ancestry to Eklavya, the archer from Mahabharata.

Bhil paintings usually paints stories around nature, traditions and rituals. Now a days, artists also paint contemporary themes and objects. The forms are filled in with flat colours, these spaces are then covered with multiple and multi-colored dots in various shapes and patterns in bright contrast to form this unique style of painting.
