MLS gaskets have increased strength because they are comprised of multiple layers of stainless steel; which also creates the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton (a flour elastomer rubber based material that is heat resistant to 250 C/ 482 F). Viton is designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions, and surface finishes. Worked great on my Mercruiser Alpha One Gen 2. Once the bottom unit of the outdrive is off and cleaned it only takes a few minutes to install impeller, seals and housing. A very affordable alternative to taking it to the shop.

Fit perfectly and very complete set of parts
Had everything I needed plus some extra parts in the kit. I probably could have just replaced the impeller for slightly less but while everything was disassembled you might as well replace the works. Included - Water Pump Impeller, Housing, Key, Face Plate, Face Plate Gasket, O-Ring, Seal Face and Carrier Assembly Oil Seal
