Tenerife TableThe concept is a versatile table, creating a variety of conditions to sit at, an idea that deformation creates a sense of place. Whether there are 1, 2, 3, or even 8 people, you can choose an area to sit at, a favourite spot, and always feel comfortable. The asymmetric tabletop is constructed from four elliptic curve segments that share common axes. The legs were developed in collaboration with Mario Meier, whose creative approach to wood turning

The concept is a versatile table, creating a variety of conditions to sit at, an idea that deformation creates a sense of place. Whether there are 1, 2, 3, or even 8 people, you can choose an area to sit at, a favourite spot, and always feel comfortable. The asymmetric tabletop is constructed from four elliptic curve segments that share common axes. The legs were developed in collaboration with Mario Meier, whose creative approach to wood turning result in a unique and efficient design. The four identical legs are quadrants of a circular, lathe-turned column, creating a visual belonging between them or parts of a whole.

 
Initially developed for a private home, the geometric principle has been explored further to form a family of tables of various shapes, sizes, and heights. Owing to its versatility, the Tenerife has been used in many of our projects, be it offices, schools or private homes.
