The Maton Custom Shop

Maton’s Custom Shop provides you with the ultimate personal guitar experience. As the customer, you are invited to specify body shape, color, decorative inlays and be involved in the selection of premium tone woods.

The Maton Custom Shop experience provides you with the opportunity to have a say in the dynamics of the desired sound speaking face-to-face with the craftsman who will build the guitar for you.

All timbers selected for Custom Shop guitars are hand picked from Maton’s vast stocks and then thoroughly checked for structural integrity. This ensures that only top quality materials find their way into a Custom Shop guitar. The timber’s visual appeal and tonal quality also form an important part of the selection process. All the chosen components are then individually ‘voiced’ to ensure they can produce maximum acoustic performance. This is done by ‘tap testing’ and flexing each piece to determine maximum strength and minimum weight, the recipe for great tone. It is a process that requires deep experience and construction knowledge and can only be done by an extremely skilled craftsman.

Maton Custom Chop Classic(One of a Kind!)

This full custom instrument is right out of the shop and is already a complete jaw dropper. The unique appointments catch eyes immediately, and at first glance are drawn to the "AAA" grade woods that were used during construction. The way the grains move and travel throughout the guitar looks as if nature always intended this wood to be apart of this instrument. A Sitka top w/ Blackwood back & sides, and a solid Blackwood neck, gives this guitar unique construction with balancing tonewoods that give off a warm mid tone, with crisp highs, and controlled lows; making this instrument powerful and big in any situation.

Australian Blackwood

One of the most visually stunning furniture timbers available, Blackwood has also become an important tonewood. Most of the Blackwood comes from the Otway Ranges in Victoria, Australia. It often displays "fiddleback" character and "AAA" grade Blackwood can be intensely figured. It has a warm, full tone with a particularly pleasing mid frequency response and has become one of the most sought after timbers. It may be of interest to learn, that whenever a Maton employee gets to make their own guitar, they almost always choose Blackwood. It is used in nearly every Maton either as a neck, back & sides, or internal component.

AP5 PRO

The AP5 Pro now features Separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the tone circuits and master volume. Highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This newly upgraded microphone is direct mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artists style.

Using the ‘Sweepable Mid’ controls. Midrange is sweepable from 1 to 2khz and can be cut or boosted within this range. As a general rule for the system should start out ‘flat’ then be altered to achieve the tone desires. For example, an open, natural sound can be achieved by setting the frequency control at 1.4khz and the boost/cut control at 5db. Alternatively, for a ‘thick’ lead sound boost your mids by 5db and set the frequency dial at 1.7kh

So lightweight, so smooth
I was looking for a retinol eye cream and decided to try this since I liked this brand before. The texture is super lightweight and absorbs well, and my makeup doesn’t pill at all after using it. Not sure yet about long-term wrinkle results, but it keeps my under-eye really hydrated and smooth. I’ve also been using it on my smile lines. lowkey excited to see more results!

Helped a bit with barrier, but it must be used very sparingly, and didn't improve fine lines for me.
I had mixed feelings about this eye cream. On paper, the combination of ingredients such as retinol, niacinamide, and centella sounded promising, especially for targeting texture and supporting the skin barrier. However, in practice, I found the formula to be a bit too strong for my sensitive eye area. I had to be very careful not to apply it too close to my eyes to avoid irritation. The cream is very thin and lightweight, and I found that it did absorb well without leaving too much of a greasy residue once applied. After about two weeks of consistent use, I did notice some positive changes. The skin under my eyes felt slightly more elastic, and my skin barrier seemed to be benefiting overall, which I appreciated. That said, I didn’t see any real improvement in fine lines or firmness, which is one of the main reasons I reach for an eye cream with retinol in the first place. The price point is definitely affordable, but it also feels like a case of getting what you pay for. While it’s not a bad product, it didn’t stand out enough for me to consider replacing my regular eye cream. At the end of the day, skincare is a long game. What we do now often shows up years down the line, so I do think it’s worth investing in higher-quality formulas when possible. For me, this one was just okay: some mild benefits, but ultimately unremarkable.

Pleasantly surprised
I’m two jars in and love it. I do use Botox, retinol, a good face wash, wash moisturize twice daily, etc etc. I struggle with moisturizer because I’m prone to breakouts. Idk what it is about this one but my skin loves it. It feels refreshed and soft. Added bonus, my eyebrows and lashes have gotten longer and darker quick! Obviously we all respond differently to products but I’ll be keeping this in my rotation

A thick and rich cream that smooths on nicely!
So I jumped on the Korean skincare bandwagon and decided to purchase some of the DR MELAXIN Products to try! I read many good reviews and decided it was worth the money. This first product is the Dr Melaxin Calcium cemenrete calcium volume cream. It comes in a 1.76 ounce glass jar. On the label there is a lot of word descriptions so I will add a few: Ex volume firming, rebornic 10,000 ppm hydrolyzed elastin and collagen extract. I have photographed label for viewing. The directions indicate to "apply a small amount of cream onto your face especially around the under-eye area". I found the cream thick and rich and I used it in addition to another Dr Melaxin neck and face product so I concentrated on only neck and under eye area. It is neutral in scent and is very thick so it feels like it is absorbing nicely. I have been using it for about a month now and have definitely noticed some improvement in the neck area so i will continue to use and layer with other products. I do recommend this line as the ingredients seem effective so far!

Good product for face.
Great product. Works well with decreasing lines in face after half is used and with the serum. It does leave somewhat of a sticky (not grimy) texture which is uncomfortable if using at night.
