This remote operates three fan speeds (high/medium/low) and includes a full-range light dimmer for a customized lighting level. It replaces the use of a wall switch and can be used handheld or wall-mounted with a convenient wall bracket (included). Once you wire the receiver to the fan in the ceiling, the remote control communicates wirelessly with the fan up to a distance of 40-feet. The receiver (fits most fans) and the remote uses one 9-volt battery (included). CUL US-listed, and compatible with most ceiling fan brands, this 120-volt/60-hertz remote control can handle a fan maximum of 1-1/4 amps and a light maximum of 300 watts.
