After my recent trip to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I became extremely fascinated and passionate about saving the elephants and educating more people on the issue.
The Elephant Nature Park is the only non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates elephants, restores the rainforest, and educates visitors on the mistreatment of elephants at other tourist attractions - such as the elephant riding camps. They have created a safe environment where the elephants can roam free and are only trained with positive reinforcement by truly passionate people.
The day I volunteered at the sanctuary was unforgettable and so impactful that I was inspired to create an entire elephant collection with the amazing Brazilian artist Bruna Siquiera, and donate a percentage of profits to the Elephant Nature Park Organization to save elephants from tourism boards and logging companies. You can also make further donations to the sanctuary through their website here.
