What is preload, and why is it so important?
Preload sets a constant pressure on the bearings, preventing the inner and outer race from moving independently from each other (walking). Bearing sets without being preloaded will allow the outer race to walk in and out of alignment with the inner race. Walking will damage the bearing journals ultimately leading to a failure which can echo into the bearing carrier if left unchecked. In this instance, the wheel/tire will rock freely when the suspension is unloaded. When this is occurring, you may feel excessive vibration/chatter when driving.

Kryptonite No Fine Print Lifetime Warranty: Kryptonite steering and suspension components are warrantied for life to their original purchaser. This warranty is against any manufacturer defects, premature wear, or breakage. Race it, jump it, off-road it, wreck it, lift it- I think you get it? We don't care. If you can break it, we will replace it.
Warranty Excludes Heim Joints.
Your Kryptonite products must be purchased from an authorized dealer and must complete warranty registration within 90 days of purchase.
