For hardcore acoustic guitar fans, there's clearly something special about the Martin D-28 Standard Series Sunburst. For everyone else, there's absolutely something about it, too. This model from one of the world's most prolific and longest-standing names in acoustic guitar drops in Martin's refreshed Standard Series with a host of fine specifications and features to bring the whole piece together. Bold, rustic, and authentic, the D-28 Sunburst is a guitar to stand the test of time.

The mastery of acoustic guitar craft on display with this model is evident. You don't get to over a century of making guitars without picking up a thing or two, after all. With Martin's refreshed Standard Series, we're treated to a suite of rich materials and design specs to make the best out of the D-28. This all begins with Martin's dreadnought D-14 Fret body shaped from a spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides. These two classic Martin tonewoods produce the refined and complex tonal structure you've come to expect from the classic American name. Forward-shifting Golden Era ("GE") scalloped spruce braces line the top for balanced and precise projection while Antique White binding accentuates the curvature of the body through the 1935 Sunburst finish color.

A satin-finished select hardwood neck lands alongside this Standard Series body with dovetail neck joint construction bringing the two pieces together. The neck's GE Modified Low Oval profile connects with a full yet mobile shape for traversing the scale's entire length with a High-Performance taper. Playability is compounded with an ebony fingerboard lined with twenty frets for seamless fretting. Along with staying incredibly playable, Mother of Pearl Style 28 inlays punctuate the dark ebony for that added visual flair.

Tying this guitar's total experience together, this Standard Series also features a number of reliable hardware specifications. A bone nut aligns with nickel open gear tuning machines at the headstock for east stringing and sturdy tuning. This experience is matched at the scale's opposite end with an ebony bridge and a compensated bone saddle with ebony bridge pins. Creating a playing experience that is fluid, expressive, and stable, this Standard Series is an effortless instrument to pick up and play. This Martin D-28 Sunburst travels with an included molded hardshell case.

As one of Martin's definitive guitars, the D-28 Sunburst is an instrument that balances Martin's lengthy legacy with modern playability. For any and every player, there's nothing quite like it.

Bugs Within Code
Format: Paperback
The blueprint code where we change the material of the character skeletal mesh has a serious game breaking bug. When the player picks up just ONE of the spheres, the game exits after three seconds despite the fact that there are still two remaining. I followed the code to the letter, even going out of my way to using the exact same engine version as in the book. There are no hints nor tips within the book that offers solutions should any problems arise. Therefore, one would expect the code to be flawless and bug free. At this point, one would be better off seeking free tutorials from elsewhere. The book does not go in depth with anything considered 'advanced' (interactive doors). Very disappointing considering how much one pays for the book.

A Must Have For The Beginner
Format: Kindle
So I've had an the opportunity to spend time with this book and I have to say that I'm very satisfied. Normally when you're reading tech books that claim to be for beginners they assume that you know things and skips steps, but this book doesn't do that. I went from being super intimidated about programming and back end development, but this book eases your mind and makes you feel like you can do anything. And after reading it you start looking at programming in a completely different way. Pros: * Easy to comprehend * Well laid out * The tone of the author is very pleasant and not boring at all * Encourages you to experiment with what you've learned and encourages you to go out explore even further * He makes you feel smart * He makes you feel like you actually have a shot at being a paid developer Cons: * There were a few typos and some missing syntax in a few of the coding examples, but even with that being the case this book is still awesome Once I land a gig here in the next three months it'll be thanks to this book and this amazing author. Thanks =)

A good book for beginners
Format: Paperback
Well I spent about 3 hours reviewing this book last night and I actually think I understood most of it. I still have a long way to go. And I’m not ready to call myself a software engineer any time soon. I think I would need to take about 3 college courses in software engineering and this book would be the first textbook. I would recommend that the index be expanded. I would recommend a book on Python to go with this book.
