DESCRIPTION: This stunning mid-century coat is the definition of timeless elegance. Crafted with impeccable American union-made quality, it features a sumptuous, heavy upholstery-style fabric that feels as luxurious as it looks. The full A-line silhouette offers effortless movement and a flattering drape, while the tailored structure exudes sophistication.

Fully lined for comfort and durability, this piece was designed to elevate any outfit—whether layered over a chic cocktail dress or paired with sleek trousers for modern styling. The textured fabric adds depth and visual interest, making it a true statement piece for lovers of vintage fashion. Classic, bold, and undeniably stylish—this coat isn’t just outerwear, it’s an heirloom-worthy investment in enduring style.

HISTORY: During the mid-20th century, particularly the 1950s and 1960s, women’s outerwear embraced sophistication and practicality. A-line silhouettes dominated, offering ease of movement and a flattering fit, while heavy textured fabrics added warmth and visual richness. Often referred to as “dress coats” or “upholstery coats,” these pieces were designed to layer over dresses and became wardrobe staples. Today, their quality craftsmanship and distinctive style make them highly sought after by vintage fashion enthusiasts.

DATE: Circa 1960s

CONDITION: In overall, excellent, gently worn, vintage condition. There are two very light discolouration marks on the front that are nearly impossible to make out unless really looking. I couldn't even capture them in the photos.

CARE: Dry clean for best results

Feels good on the skin not greasy
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Very nice product very concentrated has a very light fragrance that dissipates very quickly not greasy. No I do not have any redness or sensitivity I wanted to try this product anyway because I'm always looking for moderately priced good quality that travels well. And this fit the bill especially with it being on sale.

Good product , but
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
It seems to be a good product and it’s not too heavy , but still caused few breakouts here and there . Also, Avenue always has protective foil on their cream , this one didn’t have (I replaced it but new one also didn’t have it). Also, it goes away really fast because it’s only 1.3 ounces.

Gold Star

This cream is truly gentle and healing for a compromised skin barrier. I prefer this cream in the winter, when the weather is dry, and after procedures like microneedling or laser. It has never irritated my skin, and does soothe and heal. The La Roche Posay cicalfate cream is also excellent, I think it is slightly less rich, so I prefer that in humidity or the summer.
