Wireless Remote Speaker Microphone for Heavy-Duty Mobility
Cut the cord and maintain mission-critical communications with this rugged, long-range Bluetooth remote speaker microphone.
The Motorola RLN6544A Wireless Remote Speaker Microphone is a commercial-grade, secure Bluetooth audio accessory engineered for elite public safety, military, and commercial radio configurations. Operating completely free of tangled cables, this long-range wireless remote speaker microphone (RSM) establishes an instant encrypted audio pipeline back to its host transceiver over a distance of up to 100 meters. Built with an integrated task light and a large recessed push-to-talk button, the unit enhances personal safety and field workflow efficiency in challenging tactical situations. The Motorola RLN6544A is the updated version of the Motorola RLN6544.
Designed specifically for first responders, municipal utility teams, and heavy industrial dispatch fleets, this wireless microphone solves the common operational bottleneck of restrictive coiled cables when exiting vehicle cabins or navigating equipment racks. It functions via a high-performance Bluetooth link featuring rapid "touch-to-pair" alignment using integrated blue geometric alignment indicators and explicit voice prompts. This specific model is supplied with a high-capacity rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and a heavy-duty 360-degree rotatable clip, but it does not include a battery charger.
The radio user must ensure that the Bluetooth PTT and wireless pairing functionality is activated within their companion radio's main codeplug software, as this setting is typically turned off by default from the factory. The module incorporates a standard 3.5mm receive-only audio jack for secondary discrete earpieces, alongside a programmable orange emergency button that routes instant priority distress requests back to dispatch centers.

No. The Motorola RLN6544A comes complete with the wireless microphone housing, internal battery, and belt clip, but the dual-unit or vehicular charging dock must be purchased separately.
What is the typical operational wireless range of this device?
This mission-critical microphone features an extended long-range Bluetooth connection that can maintain crystal-clear audio transmission up to 100 meters (328 feet) from the host radio under line-of-sight conditions.
Why does the microphone not transmit when I press the PTT button?
Your connected Motorola radio likely requires the Bluetooth PTT function to be explicitly turned on within its customer programming software (CPS), as this option is often disabled by default from the factory.
