Played the classic board game, Survive: Escape From Atlantis? Wanted to beef it up a little? Multiply the carnage? Survive: Dolphins & Squids & 5-6 Players, by Stronghold Games, is the expansions for you. Oh, myyyy! It combines three separate expansions into one package, in the form of three modules. You can add one, two or all three modules into your base copy of Survive: Escape From Atlantis. Please note you'll need the base game to enjoy this expansion. No surprises: it now accommodates a fifth and sixth player. Inside you'll find 20 extra people tokens for the two new players: 10 in white, and 10 in orange. These are your stricken islanders, and your aim remains the same as the base game. Using action points and a point-to-point mechanism, you relocate them off the ever-sinking island. But even if you get in a boat, they're not totally safe from what lurks beneath the waves...Another module is the Giant Squid. This monstrosity from the deep can enter the fray much like the other sea beasties. It looks glorious on the board in the form of a wooden component. But, in a trembling twist of pure terror, the giant squid uses its tentacles to feast on islanders on land as well as in the water! The third module is Dolphins & Dive Dice. As if the sea creatures weren't already spine-chilling enough, now they've learned how to swim faster. This replaces rolling one regular die, when island tiles get flipped. Now you roll two dice - one for the monster type that enters the game, and the other for how far it travels. If you roll a 'D' on the movement die, this stands for Dive. The monster dives down and reappears on another empty spot on the board! The good news is now you have some allies in the water, in the form of dolphins. These friendly creatures help protect your stranded swimmers to an extent.
