The included massive air filter is surrounded by an open-element XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) polymer housing that minimizes warm engine air for maximum performance. Its open design allows for easy viewing of the air filter and delivers an aggressive Air Intake sound. It features an opening, allowing for air to enter from the front of the vehicle when under power. An additional auxiliary air inlet is available for use with an optional Dynamic Air Scoop (P/N 54-73006-S) that installs with zero hardware. This system features a high quality, computer designed, dyno-tuned intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. Its XLPE material is heat soak resistant and extremely durable. The system is computer designed and utilizes factory mounting locations – making for a hassle-free, direct bolt-on installation process that requires no cutting or drilling on OEM parts. handlebar mittens
Too big. If using during snow plowing they are a burden due to need to take hands off controls, and shift from forward to reverse. Might be okay if just riding around on trails, etc.

Good quality, not great on clutch
The quality of these is very good. They break the wind very well. Too well, actually. On my bike when going above 60 MPH they press hard enough on the clutch to be a problem. I'm sure I'll still use them but they won't be of any value on the interstate. It's possible to hold the clutch while using them but, for me at least, I don't have the strength to do it for my 45 minute commute.
Unfortunately, the openings seem to fold up making it difficult to get gloved hands into them quickly, which is my reason for subtracting a star.

I installed this on an e46 325ix sedan, they only worked, one of them is just a little loose. I don't know how long they last, because every time I open the bonnet, the lever bothers me a little?
