Eco-Bb® is a highly effective biological insecticide formulated with Beauveria bassiana strain R444, a naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus. This wettable micro-granule formulation offers a powerful, environmentally friendly solution for the suppression of a wide range of insect pests across various crops, including citrus, tomatoes, avocados, and beans. Eco-Bb® works by infecting pests upon contact, making it a versatile tool in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs and organic farming.

• Natural Bio-Insecticide: Eco-Bb® contains spores of Beauveria bassiana, which naturally occurs in soils worldwide. This non-toxic formulation is ideal for organic farming and has no withholding period, allowing for application up to and during harvest.

How it Works

Once Eco-Bb® spores come into contact with the pest, they germinate and release enzymes that weaken the insect’s cuticle. The fungus then invades the host's body, feeding on internal organs and causing the pest's death. Under favorable conditions, the fungus sporulates on the insect’s cadaver, producing a mat of white conidia, which can continue to spread the fungus in the environment.

Application

• Dosage: 300-1000 g/ha depending on crop, spray volume, pest severity, and growth stage.

• Application Timing: Apply as a full cover spray every 7-14 days, ensuring contact with the pest. Early-stage infestation is ideal for best results.

• Suitable Crops: Eco-Bb® can be used on a wide range of crops, including tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, citrus, avocados, and stone fruits. It is effective against pests like red spider mites, mealybugs, whiteflies, and false codling moths.
