The classic small-body acoustic, a fan favorite across generations of players, makes its mark today in this latest Special version to continue on in its track record of popularity.

The Gibson L-00 was handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana out of Gibson's dedicated acoustic factory. Taking its distinctly smaller shape, the L-00 is constructed from a Sitka spruce top and solid genuine mahogany back and sides. This classic combination of tonewoods produces a rich and surprisingly authoritative voice for its shorter stature. Perfect for solo strummers, band members, singer-songwriters, and anyone in between, the L-00 is a classic model from Gibson's illustrious acoustic legacy. Its Sitka spruce top is lined with a traditional scalloped X-Bracing pattern that balances out the guitar's voice and improves projection.

From this point, the L-00 Special reaches out with a utile neck formed into a SlimTaper profile. This slender neck offers an excellent grip for players to fret complex chords comfortably and inspires easy travels from higher to lower registers. A rosewood fingerboard appears alongside this utile neck with nineteen frets and Mother-of-Pearl dot inlays for a comfortable fretting experience. Like all Gibson acoustic guitars, this L-00 employs hot hide glue construction to fix its utile neck to its body with a compound dovetail neck-to-body joint.

Combined with all these fine considerations for playability, the L-00 loads in a host of smaller, closer fixings for intonation and precision. For one, a TUSQ nut and Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines appear past the headstock for stably grounding strings and ensuring a smooth stringing and playing experience. These features are matched by a rectangular rosewood bridge and TUSQ saddle at the scale's opposite end. All of these considerations for playability and intonation are enhanced by L.R. Baggs Element Bronze electronics which capture the complex sounds of the L-00 Special for the stage or studio. Additionally, the Gibson L-00 Special travels with an included premium soft shell case.
