The key can only be removed when the console is locked and must be removed in order to slide the OEM tray backwards. The Tuffy console safe transforms your OEM console into a heavy-duty lockable storage area utilizing Tuffy’s Pry-Guard locking system with 10 tumbler double bitted security key to help protect valuables from opportunistic thieves. The innovative design utilizes an exclusive lid support feature that keeps the lid open while sticking your hands inside. Arrived as scheduled. Just as pictured. I'm happy with my order. They Do Require full contact to support weight. Panels with bends cut down on what they hold ( slide down under load) I put a piece of tape below the magnet & it stopped the slide. They work great for my smaller shovels & tools.
