À PROPOS DU FILM: En 1966 à Trenton, New Jersey, Jill rencontre Sheik dans les couloirs du lycée. Pour son seul film de studio, John Sayles (LIANNA, MATEWAN) adapte une série d’histoires vraies racontées par sa productrice AMY ROBINSON (MEAN STREETS). Inspiré du romantisme sociétal du Kazan de LA FIÈVRE DANS LE SANG et des expérimentations rock de Scorsese, BABY IT’S YOU aborde avec lucidité le genre codifié du teen movie. Rosanna Arquette (RECHERCHE SUSAN DÉSESPÉRÉMENT) et Vincent Spano (RUSTY JAMES, MARIA’S LOVERS) y trouvent leurs premiers grands rôles, magnifiés par la photographie de Michael Ballhaus (LES AFFRANCHIS) et portés par les tubes des Shirelles, de Frank Sinatra et de Bruce Springsteen.
