Origin
This natural community lot comes from smallholder farmers belonging to the Sidama group from the Bensa district. This single-origin harvest reflects the commitment to responsible sourcing from importer Primavera Green Coffee. The carefully curated and traceable procurement contributes to the uniform flavor profile of this community lot from the talented local producers.
We wanted to showcase the Bensa district with this release, which is located within the renowned coffee-producing region of Sidama. Bensa possesses all of the sought after growing conditions for Ethiopia including high altitudes, fertile soil, and suitable climate. You'll taste the results in this sweet, inviting flavor profile of our natural medium roast.
In Bensa, traditional farming methods and hand-picking of the ripe cherries in the harvest season are typically done by smallholder farmers. The coffee cherries are carefully processed at the washing station, sorted by hand, and dried on raised tables before dry-hulling and preparation for shipment. The distinctive flavor includes fruity undertones, nice acidity, and a balanced flavor that will please a wide range of coffee lovers. We put extra time into profiling our production roast because we knew this coffee was special, and we're proud of the result. Enjoy a brew of this delicious roast today!
