The Independent Living Series was developed to help students prepare for the real-life challenges of working and living on their own. The first step towards real independence is having a job and making your own money. Getting a Job provides detailed information about what it takes to apply for and get a job.Students will learn how to conduct a job search using websites, employment agencies, newspaper ads, and networking. There are step-by-step instructions about how to apply for a job. Including how to write a cover letter and resume, how to fill out a job application, and prepare for a job interview.
The second part of this book follows five young adults on their journey to get a job. Students will get familiar with how to read and understand job postings. They will learn about writing different kinds of cover letters and resumes and how to prepare for a job interview. And then how to evaluate a job offer. The five jobs featured are fast growing jobs that are accessible to most students.
Follow-up activities include practical application math, basic comprehension questions to reinforce understanding, and practical writing exercises. Some questions ask students to think about the information given and express their opinions and ideas.
The vocabulary section includes a glossary of words and phrases students may not be familiar with plus activities to test understanding of the new words and phrases. Recommended age 12+ years

Thin and scratchy

Unbelievably thin, brittle and terrible quality. Couldn’t wait to use them up. Like trying to sop up spills with a saltine cracker. Might consider these at half the listed price but for the incremental cost difference, actual quality paper towels are worth it to me. Lesson learned.

Good Product

These would compare to Sparkle brand. Every sheet was very absorbant. I tried these because they were cheaper. I didn't know what to expect. They were just plain white, looked clean while sitting upright just plain. They come with select a size. I thought they were great!

MY CHIHUAHUA WON'T GET OUT OF THIS BED! she loves it! from the first moment we brought it in and put it on the floor. she gently scratches at the sides and cuddles in with her blankey and likes she's not there. ohhh... great value for the price! nice size, big enough for both of my chihuahuas to lay in comfortably. soft, but very sturdy sides, the bottom is fluffy, padded very well. the outside bottom, there is a non stick covering so the bed doesn't scootch around on tile floor, it stays put.

I've had this bed for 5 years and it is still in great shape. Washes up in the washing machine just fine. My littlest dog absolutely loves it and is lost when our other bigger dog steals it. She barely fits in it but she loves it too. Ha! Good quality at a good price. Couldn't ask for more.
