Fiore di Sale di Sant'AntiocoSardinian jewels brought back from our friend Ilyse's food tour of Italy! Sparkly, jumbled pink tinged Fleur de Sel with high moisture content and even higher salinity. Use for pickled vegetables, cured meats, poached eggs, and pasta. Seawater is slowly sun evaporated from the pristine, crystalline lagoons off the island of Sant'Antioco in Southwestern Sardinia. This tiny little island is known for its laid back charm and gorgeous seaside beaches.

Seawater is slowly sun-evaporated from the pristine, crystalline lagoons off the island of Sant'Antioco in Southwestern Sardinia. This tiny little island is known for its laid back charm and gorgeous seaside beaches. Gleaming salt pans on the Northwestern side of the island sit at an elevation of about 33ft above seawater, dotted with pink flamingos.
