By: Anika Jade LevyA young woman struggles with the artistic success of her more privileged, beautiful best friend in this ruthless portrait of the New York art scene in which relationships are transactional, men are vampiric, and women have limited time to trade on their youth, beauty, and talent—it’s Renata Adler’s Speedboat for the Adderall generation
"I read this book in a night, breathless and enraptured; wanting to save everyone in it, and wanting to watch them burn forever.” —Leslie Jamison
Avery is a grad student in New York working on a collection of cultural reports and flailing financially and emotionally. She dates older men for money, and others for the oblivion their egos offer. In an act of desperation, Avery takes a job at a right-wing dating app. The "white-paper" she is tasked to write for the startup eventually merges with her dissertation, resulting in a metafictional text that reveals itself over the course of the novel.
Meanwhile, her best friend, Frances, an effortlessly chic emerging filmmaker from a wealthy Southern family, drops out of grad school, gets married, and somehow still manages to finish her first feature documentary. Frances's triumphant return to New York as the toast of the art world sends Avery into a final tailspin, pushing her to make a series of devastating decisions.
In this generational portrait, attention spans are at an all-time low and dopamine tolerance is at an all-time high. Flat Earth is a story of coming of age in America, a novel about commodification, conspiracy theories, mimetic desire, and the difficulties of female friendship that’s as sharp and sardonic as it is heartbreaking.

Comfort and Great for Standing
Definitely the best shoe for standing on ur feet all day. I stand for about 7.5 hrs a day and this has changed things for me drastically. The foam makes a difference and the shoe is stylish as well.

ASICS Gel Running Shoes – Comfortable, Lightweight & Perfect for Gym and Running
Size: 10.5 X-Wide, Color: Black/White, Size: 10.5 X-Wide, Color: Black/White
I recently tried a pair of ASICS Gel sneakers, and I’m really impressed. They are extremely comfortable, with great cushioning that makes a big difference during workouts. I’ve used them both at the gym and for running, and they perform very well in both situations.
The support is excellent, and they feel stable without being too heavy. I especially like how they absorb impact when running, which helps reduce stress on my feet and knees. They also have a nice fit and feel breathable, so my feet don’t get too hot.
Overall, I’m very happy with them. If you’re looking for comfortable and reliable sneakers for the gym and running, I would definitely recommend ASICS Gel shoes.

Great Shoes by Asics
Size: 9.5 X-Wide, Color: Piedmont Grey/Black
Comfortable and durable as heck; classic Asics quality. I love the casual appearance of it, which means I can wear it on a daily basis too. True to the size.

Excellent for a 4E wide foot!
Size: 9 X-Wide, Color: Piedmont Grey/Black
As a female with a wide foot, it is very hard to find a good, comfortable shoe for walking, running and hiking. These were immediately comfortable and really didn't require a break in, although they are more comfortable after a few days of use. My 1st day I put about 5 miles on them and they were great. The cushion isn't like a cloud, but it's there and very responsive. These are very supportive and breathable. I have gone on a few Easy to moderate hikes with them and they're just fine for a dryer trail. They have good grip for rocks as well. 10/10 for these! I will also add that I underpronate, and these provide wonderful stability for that.

Great comfort, but not built for long-term daily use
Size: 9.5 X-Wide, Color: Black/White, Size: 9.5 X-Wide, Color: Black/White
I've had this shoe for almost a year now. I use it almost daily on a walking pad while working from home, plus as a gym shoe. After nearly a year of this routine, I've noticed considerable wear on the sole.
Don't get me wrong: the shoe is great and very comfortable, looks decent, and fits great at the start, and has good breathability. However, that comfort has started to fade as the shoe has worn down. Gel-Contends 9 is a really good shoe, but definitely not a long-term, heavy-use shoe. Perfect for casual or rotation use, occasional runs, but don't expect it to last 12+ months of daily wear.
