The daily strip ended after a 79-year run, and the Sunday strip, which started in 1935, ran for 68 years. Any fan of comic strips is almost certainly familiar with Falk’s other creation, The Phantom, which started in 1936 and continues to this day. Mandrake the Magician whisked readers to exotic locales (often fictional amalgams of the Orient, the Middle East, India or Eastern Europe) and immersed them in extended narratives with memorable villains and a colorful support cast. The strips presented in this series of reprints feature two staple characters in addition to the master magician: Lothar and Princess Narda (princess of the mythical European kingdom Cockaigne). Lothar appears within the first few days (June 14, 1934), and Narda is introduced in Mandrake’s second adventure. Narda is similar to Flash Gordon’s Dale Arden: beautiful, constantly in need of rescue, and the love interest of our hero. A Prince of the Seven Nations of Africa, Lothar is Mandrake’s devoted servant, friend and companion. He is, “the strongest man in the world,” and decked out in a fez, shorts, and a leopard shirt. Comics historian Don Markstein commented that, “Some people say Mandrake the Magician... was comics’ first superhero,” and we at Hermes Press couldn’t agree more. Cat Approved
So I have several self warming pads, this is the first one all three cats like. The outer cover is similar to the fake rabbit fur blankets and that was a huge hit in my house, everyone kneaded it excessively. While the pad isn't thick it does generate some heat keeping my smallest cat warm. And even my fattest guy liked it. It is made well and I am already ordering a second.

This self-warming cat mat works well — it reflects body heat and stays noticeably warm without plugs or electricity. The surface is soft and cozy, and most cats seem to take to it quickly. It's lightweight, easy to clean, and fits well in beds, carriers, or on furniture.
It’s a bit thin, so adding extra padding underneath may help. Also, it can slide on hard floors, so best used on carpet or fabric surfaces.

It's a hit!

He loves it. I wish I had purchased the large instead of the medium, but it still fits him okay. If he stretches out, it won't, though. :) He's a big boy. I have it lying on a bed in the spare room, where he often is, looking out the window. It's soft and makes barely any noise. It doesn't slip on the bed. I might on the floor.
With anything new that we buy him, we spray it lightly with catnip spray and he always takes right to it, as he did with this. It's warm under his body. He's happy, we're happy! :)
I ordered the larger one. It got here today! I moved the smaller one to a window seat.
I hate when the delivery guys add, was handed directly to homeowner, no it wasn't It was put in a package box outside, ringing the door bell is not the same as handing it directly to me! LOL
