A beleza inigualável da cidade maravilhosa é algo que fascina a fotógrafa brasileira.Advogada de formação, Geo Barroso nasceu e sempre viveu em Niterói Encontrou na fotografia uma “nova oportunidade” de mostrar o seu olhar sobre o mundo. Uma admiradora do trabalho e da história de Sebastião Salgado, a fotógrafa vive literalmente as imagens que capta, deixando-se levar pela emoção do momento e buscando transmitir o que sentiu através de algo “praticamente inédito”.
A série “Por trás da neblina” nasce de uma proposta de superação de Geo Barroso. Com o intuito de vencer um dos seus medos, a fotógrafa brasileira subiu os 360 metros de altitude do Mirante Dona Marta, no Rio de Janeiro, durante a madrugada. O desafio resultou neste retrato magnífico da Cidade Maravilhosa.
Geo Barroso, 36 anos, além de fotógrafa e advogada, tem uma pós-graduação no setor de Óleo e Gás, e colabora como fotógrafa na ONG "Corrente pelo Bem", um projeto de combate à miséria nas comunidades carentes do Rio de Janeiro.
