About the Artist:
Started in a beach house on the Chesapeake Bay in the 1970's, Bay Pottery is grateful to have come so far. For almost 50 years, the skilled artisans of Bay Pottery have been designing and producing unique works in clay that are both vibrant and durable. The McMichael Family takes pride in creating and designing high-fired stoneware with highly recognizable designs and glazes. A lot of craftsmanship and attention goes into each and every one of the pieces as they are touched by hand more than 20 times throughout the process!
