Selbach-Oster is a renowned winery located in the Mosel region of Germany, known for its exceptional Riesling wines. The Selbach Oster Rotlay is crafted from Riesling grapes sourced from the Rotlay vineyard, which is part of the esteemed Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard. This wine showcases the unique terroir of the Mosel with its steep, slate-rich slopes that impart a distinct minerality and vibrant acidity. The winemaking process involves careful fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit character and aromatic intensity of the Riesling varietal. The wine offers a complex flavor profile with notes of ripe stone fruits, citrus, and a hint of floral undertones, balanced by a crisp acidity and a long, elegant finish. It pairs beautifully with seafood dishes, spicy Asian cuisine, and soft cheeses.
