The Fade 201 is the evolution of our very first design: refined, confident, and uncompromising in comfort. With its retro-sneaker aesthetic, smooth full-leather lining, and lighter the 201 connects you more closely to the ground while growing more comfortable with every wear. Like all SOLK sneakers, it’s not just footwear — it’s a mindset. A shoe built to fade beautifully back into nature when its journey with you is complete.
Biocircular sneakers
The Fade 201 is crafted entirely from compost-capable materials. Its chrome-free leather upper and full leather lining are designed to age gracefully before returning safely to the earth. The Fade 201 uses less volume for a closer-to-ground feel, paired with a pure tree-rubber outsole for natural durability and grip. Bio-based laces, compostable lace tips, and carefully tested adhesives ensure that nothing remains harmful at end-of-life. Every component is screened for over 200 hazardous substances and tested for plant growth after composting.
