Master of None is any mixologists’ dream. The 2023 vintage is a blend of no less than 11 cultivars from 8 different wine regions:

A red blend of Wellington Grenache, Piekenierskloof Grenache, Breedekloof Cinsault, Stellenbosch Pinot Noir, Swartland Fernao Pires, Elgin Sauvignon Blanc, Stellenbosch Viognier, Stellenbosch Chardonnay, Wellington Viognier and a Stellenbosch White Blend.

"With 75% of the wine comprising of lighter-in-style reds, the baseline of the wine is on the lighter side of life. It's very much still a RED wine in my eyes, but the contribution of the whites to the mid palate is what makes this wine special. You can expect a chilled red that is going to entertain your guests all the way from the swimming pool right through to the main dish where it can hand over the baton to a more suitable contestant."

The reds were picked at optimal ripeness and cooled overnight to 4 degrees celsius. The next morning the grapes were part destemmed and part taken as whole bunches to open top fermenters. Fermented spontaneously and left on the skins for 3 weeks. Pressed into older French oak barrels. 10 months - blended and bottled. The white were pressed as whole bunches with no additives. The juice underwent spontaneous fermentation in French oak, amphora and concrete tanks. 10 months on the leese, blended with the reds and bottled.

Engaging Read for Beginners and Techies Alike
Format: Paperback
An engaging and accessible exploration of how computers really work. The author breaks down complex concepts into simple, relatable explanations, making topics like binary, logic gates, and basic circuits far less intimidating. For newcomers, it’s a great way to build a foundational understanding of computer theory with just a touch of electrical engineering. As someone with a technical background, I still found it entertaining; the examples and analogies added fresh ways to frame ideas I already knew. It’s the kind of book that can bridge the gap between “I use computers” and “I understand what’s happening under the hood.” Highly recommended for anyone curious about what makes hardware and software tick, whether you’re starting from scratch or just want a new perspective.

The best book to enter the field. Grateful that Charles Petzold decided to write it, even happier this was one of the first books I picked up. Recommend to everyone wanting to become a programmer, or just interested in computers.
