Sindsdien stond zijn leven in het teken van de zending.
God stuurde hem en Lies, zijn verloofde, naar de binnenlanden van Laos. Daar zag hij hoe vrij en blij mensen werden, als ze zich ook aan God overgaven.
Later werd Laos bijna zijn graf, toen hij hersenmalaria kreeg. Het was een wonder dat hij deze dodelijke ziekte overleefde.
Hij ging met zijn gezin naar Nederland om te herstellen,
maar kon niet naar Laos terugkeren, vanwege de communistische machtsovername.
Daarna stelde hij zich in dienst van de lijdende kerk, onder andere als directeur van Open Doors Afrika en Open Doors Europa. Hij maakte vele reizen achter gesloten grenzen, vaak samen met Johan Companjen of Anne van der Bijl. En waar hij kon, vertelde hij joden en moslims over de liefde van God.
In dit boek vol milde humor schrijft deze rasverteller en internationale spreker over bijzondere mensen die hij ontmoette en gevaarlijke situaties waarin hij terechtkwam. Telkens doemden ondoordringbare grenzen op, maar God bleef wonderen doen. ¿ In 2008 passeerde Jan Pit plotseling de laatste grens.

Favorite Socks Ever

I absolutely love these socks, they compress in the middle which is my favorite thing about them! Keeps them from slipping off my feet and also adds support, love love love how they feel and how long they last! This is my second pack that I’ve purchased, I had the multi colored ones before and they’ve lasted me two years before finally starting to wear out and fade and get holes. Definitely going to be routinely buying these every year. Good to wear with my work out shoes...winter boots, Nike sandals, and my everyday adidas sneakers. These are so worth it!

Great ankle socks that stay put at a great price!!

These are great! I have been looking for a low profile ankle sock that is thinner but doesn’t ride down. (Picky, right?) I try to walk 5-7 miles on my days off. So it’s very important for me to not have to stop every couple of hundred yards, bend down, fix socks, then continue on my way while grumbling about NOT GREAT socks. These are not those socks. They really do stay put!!! And enough cushion to be comfortable also. So definitely a repeat!!

Great quality, no holes or fading!

I purchased these socks a couple years ago and love them so much that I just recently purchased them again! They fit perfectly, don't make my feet sweaty, and hit the ankle at the right spot. The material is so good that over years they have not faded and even though I wear the same few pairs every day, they have no signs of thinning or holes! These are the ONLY socks that I buy. I have the black ones as well as the multi-colored ones. I will never buy another brand or style again!

Cute under armor socks

There's no show under armour socks.Are perfect for anybody who likes thinner socks. I loved them, I love the design the colors and the comfort and fit. Hylie recommend to those of you who like thinner socks.

Well made and perform well, a little constricting
Size: Medium, Color: Black Assortment (6-pairs)
These socks definitely keep most of the moisture away from my feet, even in wet conditions, which is why I bought them. I am diabetic, though, and the recommendation is to wear socks that don't constrict at any point. These have a tight band around the opening that while it is not uncomfortable on, leaves a mark when I take them off. So far it's been ok, but if you have any kind of swelling in your feet or ankles these would probably not be the best. My foot measures size 8 and I wear size 9 Brooks running shoes. The socks fit me just right but based on the size of the opening and the overall length, I wouldn't think they would fit anyone more than a size larger. Overall well made and perform well as you would expect from this brand.
