Each knife is completely handmade. The blade has been hand-forged using traditional Japanese forging methods to make both the billet and the finished blade in Japan.

The blade has a black hammered forging mark finish with mirror polish damascus lines nearest the blade edge

The handle was handcrafted and created in Hawaii by Gregg Salter of Salter Fine Cutlery. 

This knife has a curly Hawaiian koa wood handle with an African blackwood bolster. Our client requested a green accent and tang liners.

A beautiful finishing touch is a hand-tooled leather horizontal belt carry sheath with logo from our client's fraternal society.

  • Overall blade length: 105mm
  • Cutting edge: 105mm (Approx. 4 inches) long
  • Overall length: Approx. 9-1/4 inches long.
  • Tang thickness: 5mm at widest point tapering with step-down drop to tip

Price shown below includes a full tang style handle of curly Hawaiian koa wood with choice of ebony or plain metal bolster (surcharge applies to stainless steel or mokume bolsters), and custom handmade pigskin-lined leather sheath.

The instructions make no sense and the metal poles are either sized wrong for the product or screw holes are incorrectly placed, but no two poles matched in size and placement making it impossible to put this together without the panels being warped. No matter how I tried to switch the poles to see if I had them wrong, they always turned out warped and incorrectly fit. I finally gave up and threw everything out - I wasted $50 on this junk and because I didn’t try to put it together immediately after I bought it, it is way too late for a refund. Lesson learned!
