For those that don’t want to worry about plugging in and charging their StormVision battery between storms, you can quickly and conveniently swap batteries on your StormVision plow mounted box.
Battery charge and health is essential to optimal functionality of your StormVision system, as it takes adequate amperage and voltage to activate the coils on your diverter block in order to operate your plow wing functions.
While expected StormVision battery life is 35-45 plowing hours between full charges, it’s better to be safe than sorry, and having a spare battery quickly and conveniently ensures you are always ready for the storm!
Some of our customers prefer to keep a fully charged spare battery in the cab of their loader so they are ready at a moment's notice.
Important Notes
The 25 amp hour lithium battery onboard your StormVision system does not optimally charge below 32* F. If long range temps are anticipated to be below 32*, we suggest removing the battery from your StormVision system or the cab of your loader and charging it in a warmer area. The batteries are very quick to remove and reinstall.
Once fully charged, these batteries do a great job of maintaining charge, even in the coldest temperatures.
