– Excellent restored condition

Unlike the majority of more traditional church furniture, this delightful pew features a stunning and unique mid century design. The pew is constructed from a combination of solid beech and sapele woods, which contrast beautifully. The design of these pews is superb, with stunning splayed out legs which taper into a single form to the top, crafted from a single piece of solid beech. The seat is crafted from two pieces of solid sapele with a lovely rounded front edge.

These pews would work equally well in a residential home, placed in a hallway or used as seating in a kitchen or dining area. They would also create fantastic statement seating in a commercial environment, such as a bar or restaurant. Please note: we do have a number of these pews available at the time of listing, please get in touch if you interested in a larger quantity.  

We reclaimed these pews from Hearsall Baptist Church in Earlsdon, Coventry, alongside additional complimentary pieces that share the same unique leg/base design. The church was erected in 1960 and was built using a striking mid century architectural design, which is echoed throughout the furniture that we salvaged. 

Back story

Condition
This pew is in excellent restored condition, there are some polished in marks and blemishes, as to be expected for its age. It comes complete with a complimentary new foam seat cushion, upholstered in a gorgeous boucle fabric which meets current domestic safety fire regulations. Please see the photos for more details.
