On November 26, 1791, George Washington convened his department secretaries--Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Knox, and Edmund Randolph--for the first cabinet meeting. Why did he wait two and a half years into his presidency to call his cabinet? Because the US Constitution did not create or provide for such a body. Washington was on his own. Faced with diplomatic crises, domestic insurrections, and constitutional challenges--and finding congressional help lacking--Washington decided he needed a group of advisors he could turn to. He modeled his new cabinet on the councils of war he had led as commander of the Continental Army. In the early days, the cabinet served at the president's pleasure. Washington tinkered with its structure throughout his administration, at times calling regular meetings, at other times preferring written advice and individual discussions. Lindsay M. Chervinsky reveals the far-reaching consequences of Washington's choice. The tensions in the cabinet between Hamilton and Jefferson heightened partisanship and contributed to the development of the first party system. Just what I was looking for!!
So far,so good. It s the first time I have been trying this product. I really like it. I was looking for something to help me for dryness due to the cold weather and excess of hand washing because of my job. I work in a microbiology lab, so I am costantly washing my hands and they tent to get dry with the specific soap we have to use. I like to feel my hands humected but not sticky. I tried several brands but never got quite convinced to by a brand again because I as not satisfied at all. This hand cream is ligher compared to many others but really protects and leaves your hands soft. You use it once or twice a day and they are still soft.

Miracle cream!
This cream is unbelievable. goes in instantly, makes hands soft after one application and creates a barrier to protect your hands against cold and water. I live in VT and have tried numerous "extreme" hand creams that are heavy and greasy and useless~ this one is the best. I also like that it is fragrance-free except for that mild "Avene" spring water smell. I have two tubes, one for my night table and one next to the kitchen sink. I am 47 and have tried numerous face and body products`` you could say I used to be a "junkie" :) but I always come back to Avene. I have extremely sensitive skin and Avene products are a life saver.

My 75 year old hands appear softer and younger!
Avene Cicalfate Restorative Hand cream leaves my hands feeling very soft! A little goes a long way, I have had mine for a year. Soon I will be purchasing another tube. Yes, it is a little pricey for a hand cream, but does the job better then any other product I have used on my hands. Highly recommend this hand cream if you have dry, sensitive skin. It also has no added fragrance which I really appreciate!
