The first hat we designed for the Wentworth Hat Company. We have always wanted to make a classic late 1940's design that leaned into the sporty transition of the time. We were inspired by old adverts in our archive at The Hattery when designing the Townsman. A style that paired just as well to the trench coat & three-piece suit of London as well as the t-shirt and denim trousers outfit of the post war United States.
The use of Summer Braid, a lightweight yet sturdy & springy composite body makes for a great hot weather companion. A great way to maintain a refined silhouette whilst staying comfortable in the warmer months.
