'... oder soll es Tod bedeuten' ist the final work in Reimann's series of adaptions of 19th-century songs for voice and string quartet. Franz Schubert's 'Mignon' (ED 8466) has already been published. All these cycles have been recorded by Juliane Banse and the Cherubini Quartet and are available on CD (TUD 7063).
