Maker:
Meraki is family owned business, producing wines with pure varietal character out of Victoria. Sunny days, mild nights, star-filled skies, and fertile soils are the ideal growing conditions for much of their Mediterranean varieties.
Meraki (MAY-RAY-KEE) is a word of Greek origin, meaning to do something with love, with soul, with creativity and to do something with absolute, unbridled passion. Meraki embodies this spirit by making wines from the heart and soul. Meraki should be enjoyed with friends and family, over a rich, soulful dinner.

Variety:
This is a super food-friendly Prosecco that goes fantastically as an aperitivo with antipasto, cured meats, and almonds. Still, you can enjoy Prosecco alongside the main course. Fresh Asian fare such as shrimp fresh rolls, sushi, Pad Thai, and even rich spicy curries are perfect with Prosecco’s fruity bubbles and acidity.

Did you know Prosecco was originally a grape? More recently however, the name of the grape was changed to Glera to help further protect the Prosecco region in Italy. One of the biggest differences between Prosecco and other sparkling wines is how it's made. Meraki's Prosecco uses typical “tank method” which enlists the use of some very high tech fermentation tanks. Base wines, a special sugar and yeast mixture (called tirage) are added to the tank. As the yeast eats the sugar and ferments it releases CO2 which causes the tank to pressurise. Since the pressure has no where to go, it carbonates the wine. There you have it Sparkling wine! After the process has completed, the wine rests, is then filtered, dosed with expedition liqueur to balance with sweetness and finally bottled.

Meraki is produced by a family owned business who is dedicated to environmental sustainability, aiming to minimise their ecological footprint. Commitments include reducing carbon emissions, and prioritising sustainable water management. Environmental and sustainability objectives are integrated into sourcing, procurement, and supply chain practices. They also strive to build a sustainability framework throughout the business focussing on reducing single-use plastics and waste through recycling and composting initiatives.

Solid... with a few quirks
Very simple assembly. Was sturdy after all screws were tightened. Be aware that this is particle board so it will bubble up if it gets wet. I learned this the hard way by putting a plant on it that sweat through the pot and damaged it. I have 4 stars because two of the screws stripped in the home because of the cheap wood (I was even being careful not to yet m tighten them too much). Additionally, the screw hole covers were only cheap stickers that started peeling off within 24hrs. Otherwise the product was solid. If you don't mind exposed screw holes then those is a good deal. One other thing to note is that it only comes with 4 square backing pieces to cover 4 of the cubbies, not all 8. I wasn't expecting any but only 4 was a little odd.

Worth the money.
Was surprised with the way it was to be positioned, vertically. It’s perfect for where I wanted it. While it was different to my plan, I love it. It’s a good value for the price. It held bigger totes than I thought, it was easy to put together and seems to be well worth what I paid.
