This kit recreates the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s advanced attack helicopter, developed from the legendary AH-64A Apache and equipped with cutting-edge avionics and weapons systems.
The AH-64D is distinguished by its Fire Control Radar (FCR) mounted above the main rotor mast—commonly known as the “Longbow” radar—allowing rapid target detection, identification, and engagement. Combined with advanced onboard systems, it represents a new generation of highly effective all-weather attack helicopters.
Japan’s introduction of the AH-64D began in 2004, with initial aircraft undergoing testing in the United States before being assembled and modified to JGSDF specifications in Japan. This kit faithfully represents these early service machines, making it an excellent addition for modern military aviation enthusiasts.
Enhanced with additional plastic parts and finely molded detail, this release captures the complexity and presence of one of the world’s most formidable attack helicopters.
