The Satin Seal is the product that makes the Naked Manicure system look like your actual nails rather than nail polish. Its slightly blurring, non-mirror finish pulls the Perfector shades together, creates a natural satin sheen, and mimics the look of a naturally healthy nail. The instruction to roll the bottle between your palms for 20 seconds before applying is not optional — it activates the formula and is the difference between a result that reads as finished versus patchy.

For a glossier finish, apply Glossy Seal or Ultra Glossy Seal over the Satin Seal after it dries. For a purely natural look, the Satin Seal alone is the final step. Both approaches are compatible with Zoya Fast Drops drying accelerator.

How To Use

  1. Complete the Naked Manicure system steps (Naked Base + Perfector/s + Tip Perfector).
  2. Roll the Satin Seal bottle between your palms for 20 seconds.
  3. Apply one coat over the Perfectors to blend, blur, and seal.
  4. Optional: apply Glossy Seal or Ultra Glossy Seal for extra shine.

I find the illustrations (which are either done by a 5 year old or an adult as talented an artist as I am) painful but I give the text 6 out of 5 stars so when I take a star off for the over-the-top illustrations we're still at 5/5 ;) Kids who have greater access to exclusively modern media with intense graphics may not be able to relate to the material: the graphics are a big hurdle and the text is pretty dated too. I'm sure an updated version would be even more engaging for my kids but what it lacks in exciting, current graphics it makes up for in specificity and clarity for my two.

They always enjoy pulling it out and now I can refer back to the characters to remind them of their manners in a more positive way. The only thing is I kinda wish they had used a different animal than pig, since for some reason I don't like saying "don't be like the pigs" (since I don't really want them calling eachother or other kids pigs). Also the part about table manners is great since we had already been teaching the kids to ask before being excused from the table.
