It’s hard to believe given the quality of his A.P. #8, but Thomas Haag rendered a second 7% alcohol Sonnenuhr Spatlese, and that 2008 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese A.P. #13 – harvested a bit later and more selectively from a single parcel – was destined for auction. Pear drops and nectarine preserves, liquefied gardenia, crystallized ginger, and candied lemon scent the nose and saturate the palate. This is more substantial and even richer as well as more energetic than the A.P. #8, though without that wine’s uncanny lightness and creaminess. Almost miraculously, 100 grams of residual sugar do not come off as overly sweet, and the enormous finish here manages to be positively refreshing, not to mention supremely elegant. Here, too, I predict 25 years of felicitous bottle evolution, and it would be a fascinating treat to be able to track it together with the A.P. #8 over the decades. “A danger in so many recent vintages”, says Thomas Haag, “was that growers told themselves ‘I need a Kabinett; I have to have Kabinett; I must pick sooner!’” whereas this year, Kabinett was assured, even assuming you waited long enough to do justice to vintage potential. Haag is one of numerous growers who subscribe to the notion that (in his words) “the mix of weather in 2008 was ideal, guaranteeing permanently adequate humidity of the soil, so that mineral matter was released and could be taken up into the vines, as you can plainly taste.” And given his penchant for finesse, clarity, and delicacy, as well as for high residual sugar that demands efficacious acids to balance, it’s not surprising Thomas Haag has a high opinion of 2008. Indeed, his collection is among the vintage’s best. Haag essayed some selective picking for Beerenauslese, but like many growers decided that what he had collected was better declassified, especially in view of how spoiled we have been by botrytis in recent years and how tough are the present economic circumstances. Due to time constraints and the unusually extensive range of nobly sweet wines here, Haag and I did not take time to taste his two trocken offerings, whose absence from the U.S. market made it subsequently impossible for me to corral.Shipping Notes

Excellent Photo Paper — Beautiful Results
Size: 13"x19"
I love this A-SUB Premium Double Sided Photo Paper. The luster finish looks really nice, and prints come out sharp, clean, and professional-looking.
The double-sided design is also a huge plus. It feels sturdy, handles ink well, and gives photos a polished look without being overly glossy. It’s exactly the kind of paper that makes prints feel more premium.
Very happy with it and would absolutely buy it again.

Quality prints, this is what ‘matte’ should be
Size: 8.5"x11"
Really nice results and the double sided coating eliminated the worry about which side to put down in the printer. Value seems fair, quality is very good, color is excellent, dried quickly, nice thick paper. I use an Epson-3750 printer with it and it did initially have a hard time grasping the sheets so make sure to fan the paper first.

The paper looks great, and for the price it's awesome!
Size: 8.5"x11"
I took on a job of a couple who wanted some wedding invitations printed. Originally they wanted matte paper, double-sided, just the basic stuff. I printed out a sample of course, and then printed out a few more samples on different finishes just to make sure they got what they actually wanted. Turns out, they really liked a luster finish! Great! Except I had no double-sided luster paper.
Well, quick trip to ol' faithful Amazon, and found this when looking for double-sided luster paper. It looked promising, and the quick turnaround of Prime meant if it didn't work out, then I could reach out and get some more expensive stuff instead. Luckily, I printed using the Premium Luster inkjet preset on my printer, and I was blown away by the print!
It doesn't have the highest detail retention of all the papers I've seen, but for a heavier stock paper, this stuff worked out great! The thickness is just right, and it went through my printer perfectly. For the price, this is an excellent set of paper, and I do not regret the purchase in the slightest.

Amazing Paper
Size: 13"x19"
My favorite paper to use - great quality, has a shimmery feel, and the prints did not waiver when accidentally in contact with a small amount of water overall. This is my go-to!

Good for last minute poster printing
Size: 13"x19"
I’m a full-time artist and I ordered these to make some last minute prints for a convention. For the cost, they do the job. The finish is decent with some imperfections if you look closely but overall can’t complain. If you’re not super worried about the actual paper quality while still wanting a good looking product, I’d recommend.
