The Kaiser Column – 0.8 m is a wide, extremely vibration-resistant aluminium column with a durable black anodised finish, featuring both centimetre and inch scales. Designed for precision height adjustment, it incorporates a gear rack with built-in roller spring for weight compensation, plus a 1:6 fine drive and locking screw for secure positioning. The column supports camera arms and the lower part of the enlarger head 4568, with height adjusted easily via hand crank. Cross-sectional dimensions are 70 × 35 mm (2.8 × 1.4 in), and maximum height is 80 cm (31.5 in). When combined with Metal Plate 5504 and Camera Arm 5523, it functions as a versatile Kaiser Vertical Stand.
